Our Mission Statement:
To provide groceries to low-income elderly individuals in our community bringing glory and honor to God while maintaining the dignity of each individual.
That in all we do we give glory to God who has entrusted us with this ministry.
That we always maintain the dignity of each individual we minister to.
To increase our community’s knowledge regarding the needs of the elderly and secure the finances needed to maintain the ministry.
To expand the types of services provided:
A clothing closet (specific to the older adult).
An adopt a grandparent program
To increase the number of volunteers for the homebound area as our home delivery section continues to grow each month.
To be able to link elderly who have no family with individuals or groups interested in providing fellowship and assistance to them.
To continuously honor God in all we do.
There are various opportunities at the site before and during distribution week. Our Criteria for volunteers is as follows.
Willingness and desire to work with people, especially the elderly.
Able to smile and give hugs if/as needed.
Flexibility and willingness to work in various areas at the site, clerical assistance, assistance from home, home deliveries.
Collection of non-perishable food items.
Providing paper and cloth grocery bags.
